Learn Spanish In New York City (nyc) – 3 Alternatives
1. New York Section of Craigslist When the name Craigslist is mentioned the first thing that comes to many people’s minds is personal ads for singles or odd jobs. But Craigslist can also be an excellent way to find a foreign language instructor. In fact, several years ago, I used to advertise my Spanish teaching services on CraigsList. In some cases, I used to meet with a student at a coffee shop to teach him or her. At other times, I would go to the student’s office to give him or her private Spanish lessons. 2. Instituto Cervantes De Nueva York (New York) Besides being the only Spanish Language and Cultural Center endorsed by the Government of Spain, Instituto Cervantes offers comprehensive adult Spanish classes with the goal of developing the student’s ability to understand, speak, read, and write in Spanish. The main objective of the class is to get the student communicating in the target language. For this reason, from the very first day the instructor encourages the students to begin engaging in conversations in the Spanish language and interacting with the other students in the class. Instituto Cervantes is also the largest Spanish teaching organization in the entire world. Instituto Cervantes has over 70 language centers in approximately 30 different countries. 3. El Taller El Taller which means “the shop” in Spanish is also another option. Located on Manhattan’s upper Westside, you can take group classes at El Taller. If you prefer customized private classes covering a specific area of Spanish such as business Spanish, the instructors at El Taller can make special accommodations for you. You will still need to supplement your private or group classes with a home-study course if you wish to reach fluency at a more rapid rate. One self-study course t hat many of my own private students have had a lot success with is Learning Spanish Like Crazy which mainly teaches conversational Latin American Spanish. Another home-study course that a couple of my private students seemed to have enjoyed is Fluenz Spanish. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com Alejandra K.
