Learn Guitar Chords Can Be Easy With The Right Approach
Learning guitar chords is generally one of the first few steps that beginning player will move into. I'm not sure what the average is, but I have noticed that it takes most new students to the instrument a good 4 to 6 weeks before they can get some basic coordination down that doesn't fight them. I think that learning guitar chords could be done much more effectively if a student has some basic pointers to go with. So let's take a look at a few, shall we?
First of all, there's a good chance that you maybe you're reading this and have yet to start learning and guitar chords at all, so if you need a good direction to go in, I would suggest first learning how to read a basic chord chart. After that, start tracking down some basic major chord fingerings like G, C, and D. You can find all this information by doing a search right here on the good old internet.
In terms of getting the fingers to work with you better, you'll notice that a lot of times you'll be taught the exact fingering for the chord. For instance 1st finger on such and such note, and so. Well, for a long time putting together chords from scratch usually means going in order, but maybe you didn't realize this. If you set your fingers up with a consistent order when doing the fingering for each chord, it'll make learning new guitar chords automatic in the future.
This will also help with developing super quick reflexes. As a second tip, I would suggest putting more focus on pushing the strings down then trying to rush and play the chord. Naturally this will make your finger tips hurt a little bit, but if you do this just a little at a time, this will also toughen the finger tips much faster and get you past that bad spot. It will also promote good finger strength, so in the
future you'll be less likely to get any nasty string buzzing sounds from your chords.
Learning guitar chords in order of major, minor, augmented, major 7ths, etc will make it easier to remember them, because the formations can be similar in each grouping. All and all, if you want to learn and master guitar, you'll no doubt need to tackle some key areas of laying, but these are all very manageable, and you can do this on your own.
