Learning How To Deal With Your Business Mistakes
In a very social world, errors that affect the social networks should be carefully talked through. You cannot just delete a conversation, opinion or question without backlashes. If an unhappy prospect/client doesn't like your services/products they will advise you through your contact form, telephone call or a post on your social network's online page. As a rule they will bestow you some time to fix it before they tweet it out to their thousands of supporters and post an updated status for their 1,400 friends. If the mistakes impact your prospects, you have to deal with it; learn from it and use it as a "Lesson’s Learned" from the past and be prepared to have an upfront conversation about it in the future. Remember, that anything that hits the internet, is not a secret in this computer age anymore. The listing of sites for a perturbed customer to talk about your mistake/oversight, are too numerous to mention and you can not just bury it. You need to confront it in a way that your customers & those watching know that you have it fixed and handled and that your are now better for it. Business failures are not invariably a death sentence though, as most mistakes are a great way to find a highway for your business that will help you to grow beyond anything you would ever have imagined for youself. A mistake should never make you feel that you do not have a good plan of attack in place, specifically if you are a pioneer or builder of an entirely new industry or service. Stepping stones to the next level are nothing more than the mistakes you made - you learn from your mistakes. No matter how large or small your business miscalculation; no matter how public or private - learning from your mistakes business mistakes gives an opportunity for your business to make the most of the oversight. When it's all said and done, whether the lesson learned is an opportunity to make better your game plan, you will only fail if you don't act on your lessons learned from past mistakes or oversights.
