Legitimate Paid Online Surveys - How To Find Them, Make Money With Them

You can make money with paid surveys, if you can find legitimate paid online surveys to take. The problem is that they are not easy to find. The paid survey business follows the "80-20" rule; 80+% of the cash and equivalent benefits get paid out on 20% of the surveys.

Conversely, the other 80% of the surveys get 20% of the money and, generally speaking, are not worth the time and effort to participate in them. They just waste your time and wear you down.

Legitimate paid online surveys ask serious questions, expect serious answers and compensate the survey participants fairly.

The others (the illegitimate ones?! :-)) are frequently part of some scheme to sell you something or other. Or the survey makers want you to work for altruistic reasons, out of the goodness of your heart, for charity. There is no serious business exchange of value for value involved.

If you want to make money with paid surveys, you only want to take legitimate paid online surveys. So how do you find them? And how do you avoid the rest?

Almost all survey makers claim they pay participants. (Maybe every 4th one? or $1 per survey?) So you can't tell up front. The only way is through experience; never mind what they say, what do they do? So who has the experience? Paid survey sites that care have the experience, and their clients will tell you.

Let me explain. Paid and free survey sites that offer lists of survey makers have two ways to get paid: fees from client members and recruiting fees from the survey makers. Those survey makers that offer legitimate paid online surveys don't pay recruiting fees; they don't have to. The others have high turnover and must pay to recruit.

Free sites don't charge fees, so they depend on recruiting fees. They just care about their recruiting fees. They don't care whether the survey makers that pay them for recruiting pay their participants or not. So their clients (the ones on the lists they offer) are almost all no-pay/low-pay survey makers.

The good paid sites depend on the membership fees they collect from their clients. When they offer real money-back guarantees, they know that they must find and offer good survey makers who offer legitimate paid online surveys to their clients. Otherwise these clients will demand their money back!

Not all paid survey sites are good ones. Some don't really maintain and keep good lists. Others try to "double dip" and collect recruiting fees too! You can tell them apart by the refund rates, the negative votes of departing clients.

Low refund rates mean happy clients, who tried the list offered, found legitimate paid online surveys, made money, recovered their membership fees many times over and were generally pleased with the results.

High refund rates mean many unhappy clients, who tried the list offered, got promises and a runaround, made little or no money, felt they had been ripped-off and demanded their money back.

So the way to find legitimate paid online surveys is to first find paid survey sites with strong 60-90 day money-back guarantees, backed by a bank or financial company like PayPal or ClickBank.

Then within this group, look for one with a low (3-6%) refund rate. Avoid any with refund rates that are either unknown (means high) or are as high as 9-10% or more. (Don't even consider them unless they offer a strong money-back guarantee!)

Sign up with a paid survey site that meet those criteria and they will give you a copy of their current list of preferred survey makers. Sign up with every company on this list and they will most likely send you legitimate paid online surveys. You will then make money and join the other happy clients of that site.

Remember, "Illigitimi non carborundum"! [Don't let the... (illegitimate ones) wear you down!]
