Lets Rock Elmo Is Gonna Bring Down The House!
none drew the crowds or caused as much buzz as the rocking Elmo did. Hasbro has taken one of the most beloved characters from the show and finally given him just a bit of attitude. Sure he's still blazing red, still adorable and still has those crazy googly eyes, but Lets Rock Elmo now sports a black rocker T-shirt with Elmo and a lightning bolt emblazoned across the chest and this new generation of Elmo is packing some gear in the form of a tambourine and drums. And what is going to make this one of the hottest toys for the upcoming 2011 Christmas season is that he isn't just another pretty monster to look at, oh no, Elmo now has the ability to interact with your child while he sings and plays his instruments. For some reason, the images of toddlers in black Elmo t-shirts with sippy cups raised in salute chanting "Elmo...Elmo..Elmo!" keep running through my mind so you'll just have to bear with me for a brief moment. Like many of you, I too am a big Elmo fan and this is one toy that surely will be at the top of my list come October when he is due to hit store shelves. And just so you know, I'll have no qualms about nudging you out of the way to grab a Lets Rock Elmo! I learned my lesson well trying to get a Tickle Me Elmo a few years back. But, enough of that for awhile, let's take a look and see what is going to make him so special. The first thing that sets this new generation Elmo apart from his predecessors is his ability to react with your child. You really have to give Hasbro a tip of your hat in not releasing just another watch me toy. They actually listened to their customer base that wanted toys that would engage their children and not just something that held a child's interest for a few brief moments only to be cast aside for something different. Hasbro also has exhibited some marketing smarts due to the fact that along with the red rocking Elmo, you will also have a choice of 3 other Lets Rock instruments that will sold separately, that have the ability to let your child sing and play along with Elmo. In fact Elmo will know what instrument your child has! These instruments will be the Lets Rock Grover microphone, the Lets Rock Elmo guitar and the Lets Rock Cookie Monster keyboard. What a brilliant marketing strategy this is! If you're an Elmo enthusiast this Lets Rock Elmo is going to be a must have.
