The ambience is cozy and relaxed. With two tables downstairs and five upstairs, Cremeux has an orange, red and white theme with Egyptian paintings dotting the walls. Customers need to place their orders at the counters. While we place ours, we notice that the cafe could do with a brush of paint and basic upkeep. What you get - Cremeux offers an array of light snacks, gourmet desserts, breads, cakes and cookies to suit the most discerning palate. Among the snacks, the Mushroom and Onion Quiche sell like hot cakes. Also on the menu are Pork pies, Steak sandwiches, Chicken paninis, Tuna bagel and Mushroom mini pizzas. The desserts range from Lemon tarts to Mudpies, Black forest, Tiramisu, Mango mousse, Chocolate mousse, Chocolate fudge brownies, Sachertorte (chocolate cake) and Chocolates, including the shell-shaped ones made in Goa. Cakes with tropical fruit are also available. Cookies are in plenty right from chocolate to garlic grissini, oatmeal, raisin, coconut, macaroon and butter ones. The chocolate fudge cookies are a mouthwatering treat. A ‘Dial a Cake’ facility is also available. Our verdict - Cremeux is the perfect place to watch the world go by while feasting on delectable treats. The constant influx of customers ensures freshly-prepared products. However, vegetarians could find themselves short of choice. Refreshments are limited, along with the seating space. The service is average and they accept only cash payments. Parking could also pose a problem. Cremeux also has outlets in Mapusa, Candolim and Santa Cruz in Goa.
