Living A Fulfilled Life

In today’s world we tend to focus a lot on ourselves and all the goals we want to achieve in life. This is actually a very positive thing and especially the amount of added focus on the area of self development has lead to large deal of people following their dreams and ambitions and not letting their limiting beliefs stop them.

Even though more and more people are living great lives and have more than they could ever need, there is an increasing amount of people who are unhappy and feel depressed. The funny thing is that you rarely here about depressions and such in really poor countries. It seems as though people in really poor countries have one single focus point, getting enough food, water and shelter in order to survive.

Through studying the third world countries of the world it seems as though depression and lives big questions are something reserved solely for people in the western countries who actually have the liberty and luxurious lifestyle to think of these things. What is really lacking in our society and something that would greatly improve the quality of our lives is to help other people and feel a sense of community with others.

If we really think about it we are all one big family of human beings and the only thing separating us are mind made distinctions like color, class, country etc. These distinctions are not real and the only thing they serve is to keep us separated from truly connecting with our fellow human beings. Helping others who are in need of help is one of the most satisfying feelings you can feel and if you have never felt this feeling you should try it out and see what you think.

You don’t necessary have to give people money, it can be something as simple as giving people your time and listening to their problems and cheering them up. It can also be helping someone with a task in which you have a certain expertise.

When you see how grateful people really are for your help, you will start to feel truly connected to both the earth and the universe. The sense of love you feel is indescribable and you just feel like you can change the world with even the smallest actions. Get started right away and you will realize this for yourself.
