Local Events Beyond Directmatches

While DirectMatches does not have the typical hyped up rah-rah of hotel meetings or national conventions, they do occasionally have local events. Some of those local meetings might be in your own backyard or you can volunteer to host one.

If you go to your "my profile" page and click on the "events" tap, you will see a list of all the events that are to take place that day and coming up. This is where we also list our team calls that take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Since the company is headquartered in Reston, VA, they always have a live monthly meeting. You can also write to the company to open up your own monthly meeting in your area, provided you are qualified to do so (which is listed on the site). This would not only give you an opportunity to bring current DirectMatches members together, but to also invite other business owners to your own networking event. People can come and bring business cards and share their business with others as well as sign up for DirectMatches. Every business owner needs a profile on this site.

Now here is where things get really cool. Did you know that you can post your own live events on this site. That is, live "physical" events, not call ins. This can be for anything, including fund raisers, seminars, work shops, corporate meetings, you name it. Of course, it would all go through approval of DirectMatches. But, just think how powerful this is. And, the event is going to be linked back to your profile. And at least one current event of the day will be listed on everyone's profile. Sometime to think about huh?
