I am writing this story today on my new tiny little notebook computer! I am so excited about it because it's just small enough to fit into my purse so I can take it anywhere with me, yet big enough to be able to type on it comfortably. You just have to love modern technology.
I'll now be able to be anywhere, and simply pull it out of my purse, and log on to see the surveillance cameras I have placed in and around my home. This will especially be nice when we go away to the convention we plan on attending this year in the upcoming months. We are pet parents, and it'll be nice to log on and see how they are doing, and make sure that my brother doesn't forget to shut the lights off when he leaves the house as he did last year! Not to mention, to be able to check in and make sure nobody's broken in. We do have a home alarm monitoring service, however it's also a good peace of mind as well.
I have a 4 Channel Wired Digital Video Recording System where the DVR has full networking capability and uses a Geo Vision DVR card that enables you to view your live cameras on the internet. You'd also think that most thieves would be wise enough to leave your home alone if they see cameras all around it, however not all of them are. I have just seen news articles with crystal clear photos of bank robbers both in Florida, and Alaska! A bank! Of all places! They did not even try to cover their faces or disguise themselves and were therefore quite easily caught.
A man in Florida just recently hit a burglar in the head with his shotgun and he came back, so he fired towards the ground to scare him away again! Somebody a few blocks away ended up spotting the would be burglar, and he was captured. Now that was one very lucky robber! However, if you're not home, it is good to have something in place to keep it safer whether it be surveillance cameras or a home alarm monitoring service. If you're a procrastinator, I am telling you now make sure you do something before it's too late in these desperate times.
