It doesn't really matter what time of the year it is, there is a pleasure ship going somewhere that you would like to visit and tour. It will take a little preparation before you go. You will need to book your trip, and this can be very time consuming. It is suggested that you contact a good travel agent or go online and book the tour on your own. Most ship lines do have web sites and you are able to visit the site to view the types of cruises they offer and just what destinations they'll be visiting. A beautiful Western Caribbean Cruise is a nice recommendation for a first timer.

The Western Caribbean is especially nice for a first cruise, just because there are so many beautiful and interesting places to visit. That is not to say that all cruises are any different, for they are all great and you certainly won't be disappointed on any part of your journey. You'll be given a passenger identification card when you board your ship. This will allow you to disembark and re-board when in port.

Once you have booked your ship and itinerary, it'll be up to you to get transportation to your port of departure. Usually, once you arrive at the ship, your luggage will be tagged and taken from you. You'll find it waiting for you when you arrive in your room.

Upon arriving in your room, you will be given the opportunity to choose your dining time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some ships offer open seating and others have appointed seating, but you still have the option of choosing your dining time.

It is certainly surprising at the amount of food service that's available on board. You could presumably eat twenty four hours a day, but this is not recommended unless you are willing to put on a few pounds. Your first meal will introduce you to your ships wait staff and you'll find them to be very pleasant and helpful in all cases.

Unpack and take a tour of your ship to familiarize yourself with the locations of places you'll be visiting and things you'll be doing. Find your table that has been assigned to you, if that is the case. Find the hair salon, the spa and maybe the movie theater and gaming area. At the end of the journey, you'll be billed for any charges incurred during the trip, such as pictures, hair salon or drinks you may have purchased during your sailing time.

After your tour of the ship, the ship will depart from port. You are on your way to a very great adventure. You are going to be visiting some of the most beautiful places in the world on your Western Caribbean Cruise.
