Look Youthful With Facial Exercises

Everyone wants to look young. As we grow older the dreaded wrinkles, crow’s feet and laugh lines begin to appear. This is due to the weakening of our facial muscles. These facial muscles are attached to the skin on our face and as they weaken, the skin begins to sag and wrinkle. While plastic surgery and Botox might be a good idea for some, they have side effects. They often give the person who has undergone the treatment a fixed facial expression. A simpler solution that has no side effects is exercise of the facial muscles. Facial exercises help keep these muscles smooth and toned, keeping you looking young. Facial Exercise 1

Sit up with back straight and gaze upwards. Make face movements to imitate chewing. Repeat 15 to 20 times. This will work the throat muscles.

Facial Exercise 2

Sit up straight and keep your gaze up. Then, open your lips and stick your tongue out like you are trying to touch your chin with your tongue tip. Hold your tongue out this way for 10 counts and return to normal position. This exercises the chin muscles.

Facial Exercise 3

Sit straight and keep your gaze upwards. Keep the lips relaxed. Then place your lower lip onto the top lip as much as you can and keep it there for a count of 5. Repeat 5 times. This exercises the neck muscles.

Facial Exercise 4

Sit straight with your face forward and keep your lips together. Next separate your teeth by lowering your jaw and then push your jaw forward. Hold this for a count of 10 and relax Repeat 5 times. This will make sure you don’t get a double chin.

Facial Exercise 5

Frown as much as you can and try to bring your eyebrows as low as possible. At the same time pull the eyebrows towards each other. Next lift the eyebrows as much as possible while opening the eyes wide. This tones the muscles of the forehead.

Facial Exercise 6

A good way to boost the blood circulation in your face is face-tapping. All you have to do is make quick, sharp taps with you middle fingers’ pads all over the face. This stimulates the circulation making skin firmer. A great way to bring a glow to your face is to massage your ears using your thumb and index finger.

No matter what you do, you can't keep age from catching up with you. Sooner or later those lines are going to appear on your face. But facial exercises can make you look younger for longer and slow down the appearance of lines. They tone the skin and tighten the pores.
