A boat can offer many hours of pleasure to its owners and their friends. Boats get you away from the office and out on the water. A boat can take you to an exotic new area for fishing, swimming or water skiing. Owners of smaller boats often take little regard for Marina Boat Storage. At the end of the day, they simply load their boat back onto the trailer where it is pulled to the back yard or garage for storage. Storing your boat in a wet marina has several advantages. The primary one is that the boat is easily launched. In these marinas, you will often find electrical access that allows you to keep all batteries on your boat charged using battery keepers. While some wet storage marinas offer enclosed storage on the water, many offer only open-air storage. This has the disadvantage of the elements causing deterioration of your boat.

If your marina does allow you to work on the boat while it is in storage, you will have access to parts of the boat that are not accessible when the boat is in the water. As an example, it is much easier to change a propeller when the boat is in dry storage than when it is in the water.
The greatest disadvantage to dry storage is that the boat must be launched fresh each time you want to use it. It will need to be placed back on the track and sent back into the water. You may need to schedule this procedure several days in advance, so this may not be the best choice for spur of the minute people. Once the boat is in the water, it will need to come alongside a dock for loading of supplies, luggage and passengers.
