Looking For A Work From Home Business – Scam Alert
So you want to get involved with a home business but you are afraid to purchase one in case you get scammed? Have you already paid for a program that didn't deliver what it promised? Guess what? You are not alone. How do you know which work from home businesses are scams and which ones are legitimate?
In order to understand a scam you must be a victim first! I remember my first purchase was a $50.00 e-book on becoming an affiliate. I was drawn in by the flashy web-site promising me big money every day. I thought this was the answer to my financial problems. I was so excited to think I would finally be out of debt in 3 months. Yes that's what the site promised. Once I was out of debt I would now have money to travel, buy a new car, purchase a mansion with a swimming pool, in fact anything my little heart desired. I would be rolling in money! The e-book was only one page long, that's odd! Oh well. I read , followed the directions, and then the instructions ended. Is something wrong here? Now what was I supposed to do? My path to financial freedom with what I thought was going to be my new home business, just vanished. I was angry, embarrassed and mortified. I felt totally violated. I tried contacting them for a refund. My email bounced back as undeliverable. Darn it, I just got scammed!
The valuable lesson here is you learn by your mistakes. I know I did. There are plenty of legitimate home businesses out there but it is up to you to watch for certain things so you do not fall prey to a scam.
1. The Attention Getter
The most common factor I have found on all sites is the huge amounts of money you can earn. Just remember they show you how much the top earners are making to get your attention. What they do not tell you is how long it took. Is it too good to be true? Use caution when exploring sites. If you do not like what you see, move on.
2. Common Sense
We all have it, so use it. Do some snooping to see if the site is legitimate as well as their products. Do you want to promote their products? Read between the lines! Book mark at least 3 sites you are interested in and do your homework.
3. Contacts
You should check to see if there is either an email address or a phone number with a real person to talk to. If they reply get your questions answered. If they don't I would try again and perhaps wait one week. If they don't reply, write them off. Just don't make a hasty decision to join anything.
Take your time and figure out what you want. Please be aware of what you are buying! Hard lessons are learned when you get taken! I promise my site is a legitimate online work from home business program - not a scam!
