Loose Leaf Tea

Loose leaf tea is a dried leaf that is soaked in boiled water and never comes in a tea bag. Drinking of tea originated in China around 5000 years ago during the reign of the Chinese emperor Shen Nung. Shen Nung had profound knowledge. He knew that water becomes pure when it is boiled. So he always had boiled water. Once, a leaf from outside flew into his cup full of boiled water. He allowed it to remain in his cup for sometime. He found that the leaf turned the water color into brown within some time. He tasted the solution and got a refreshing taste. It is said, since then people enjoy tea in China, Japan and the world over. Loose tea comes in bigger sizes and better quality. These teas are of greater value.

Advantages of loose tea leaf:

Almost all the quality of loose leaf tea, green, white, oolong and black tea are indeed good quality teas are better than the packed teas. Instant powered, decaffeinated, bottled, herbal teas are good to taste. The regular tea bags, tea pills or tea extracts have lesser or nearly no antioxidant properties of loose teas.
In case of loose tea leaf you have to use the entire leaf. But while using the tea bags you use the “dust” leaf as well. The dust of the bagged leaf contains lesser caffeine and more antioxidants which is not good for health. If you have loose tea leaf, you will consume less antioxidants and more caffeine.
You will also find some bleach residue in the tea bags. Such residues are dangerous to health as they are usually chemicals. The loose tea does not leave any chemical residue.
Loose tea is not much processed, so it comes with the natural flavor and the natural values.
It involves a very simpler process to make tea with loose tea leaf. You just need to soak it in boiled water for a lesser time. The loose teas should not be boiled for long. You may end up in taking more of caffeine and less antioxidants if you take much of caffeine and less antioxidant.
Bagged tea gets dried up faster. Loose leaf tea can be preserved for a longer time.
Loose leaf tea gets a better base to swell and expand. This allows complete growth of the tea leaves. In bagged teas complete growth is restricted by the sacristy of the space.
