MLM help really is available for you. The failure rate for all types of business is high. It's certainly no different for MLM distributors. The barriers to entry are low, so virtually anyone can start their own business. To be successful, you need to either start with a big network of people who like you and trust you, or you must build that network. It's important to pick a plan that pays well for real production. And you need to have a knack for marketing, because you will need to continually build your network. And if you are like most people who don't start with that strong network in place, you must build it from the get-go. There is a lot involved to become successful in MLM, just like in any other business. And yet, so many people these days are spouting the "multiple streams of income" hooey in MLM. You can look long and hard and still never find anyone who is successful in 2 network marketing businesses at the same time. It may take you awhile to find someone who has actually built full-time income in ONE business. So what would make people think they could build FIVE business at a time, as some of them claim? The answer is probably pretty simple: they're full of it. Some people figure that by promoting 5 businesses to you, maybe you'll see one you like and join. In my experience, people who do this just disappear quickly. What works is to pick the best one you can find and build that business. Multiple streams of network marketing income is an idea whose time will never come.
Network marketing is like anything else you do in life. When you are trying to achieve a goal, especially in an area that is new to you, you are not going to do it in a straight line. There will always be some setbacks. You've got to recognize that and be prepared to handle the frustrations. One solution that works well is to come up with a really, really big reason to be successful. The more enormous your reason to be successful, the tougher it will be for you to give up when times get tough. So early on, you want to work on that reason and write it out and look at it and think about it every day. Ask yourself, "What REALLY gets me excited?" %What type of work have you done that you really loved - or hated? Is there some job you love that you'd do forever, even if you weren't getting paid for it? What do you most like to do in your free time? When everything's coming up aces, how will you change your lifestyle? How do you act with the people you are closest to, and are you in the best possible position to create those relationships the way you want them to be? How would you change those relationships if you had no money problems? How much more time would you be able to spend with the people you love if you didn't have to commute to a job every day? Answering questions like these will help motivate you to MLM success.
Michael Dlouhy's network marketing ebook "Success In 10 Steps" has been on the market several years now. The ideas you've read in this article come from this book. It's amazing how many people start a MLM business and decide to become on their company's products. Many companies actually encourage this with "product education" training. Problem is, that training will never help you build your business at all. Network marketing is a business that requires you to build relationships with people. You're far better off learning about people and how to connect with them emotionally. If you learn about product, then you will have to become a salesperson to convince someone your product is better than others. But if you learn the keys to building trust with people, they will join you because they trust you. You get a step-by-step plan on how to do just that in the book.
