Make Your Marketing Recession Proof

It’s even more important when times are harder that you make you marketing material recession proof. Because your customers are probably spending less and less and you need to enhance your marketing to sell more of your products and services.

Here are some pointers:

• Do you have copy that doesn’t actually sell? – I know, sounds ridiculous but the majority of sales copy out there is a ‘me’ message. But the important thing is it needs to be all about what the customer wants. You marketing material needs to have a ‘you’ message – after all it’s all about what you can do for your customer.
• Do you use a ‘call for action’? – Always encourage your customers to contact you by using a ‘call for action’.
• Do you use a guarantee? – Using a guarantee gives your potential customer more faith in you and your product or service. How about…If you aren’t happy with ‘whatever you’ve bought’ - I’ll give you 100% of your money back.
• Do you use testimonials? – Use testimonials from happy customers as this increases your credibility. You know how good your product is - but your potential customer is more likely to buy if you use 3rd party creditability.

By improving your marketing material you’ll be able to improve your sales and your bottom line. You have to gain your customers trust to make them a happy customer and to show them what you offer is what they want. That if they buy from you or use your service that you make it a ‘no brainer’ to do business with you.

If you want to improve your marketing material for your business I can give your copy a free critique and point out where your marketing material can be strengthened. Then I’ll show you how to get copy that kick-starts your business rather then a weak ‘me’ message that doesn’t sell any of your products or service.
