Making Your Auto Responder Email Marketing Available

So many people know how autoresponers work but they just can’t figure out how to
make it effective for themselves. For this reason, I have decided to publish these few lines and break it even for them.

Subject Line.
Normally, a reply is sent to a visitor’s email inbox, who signs up on your website (during a visit). The visitor might sign up in order to receive free gift, or free e-books or free e-course, software, membership or for access to your site. That is the beginning. But what assurance do you have, that your message is read or even delivered?
How do you make sure, that the message is not treated as spam or junk message?

One of the secret is that you should write a very good subject line. Here is the format for writing a good subject line.

1. Ensure that, you include the first name of your prospect in the subject line. This will naturally attract his/her attention. And it is called personalization. Each autoresponder has its own personalization features, so there is a need for you to familiarize yourself with the one you choose to use.

2. Write as if you’re writing to a friend. Do not make the mistake of revealing in your subject line that you are sending a sales piece. Make it appear like it’s coming from a friend and not a sales person. Some people don’t love being sold. Instead of writing “buy this product for your pet”. Say your pet will love you more for this.

3. Avoid capital letter and money signs:

Do not use all capitals for your subject line. Also avoid using money signs like $,#, etc, as the spam blockers are sensitive to them and as such might filter your message, believing it to be junk

The Content of Your Message

Now that you know how to write good compelling subject lines, that ensure your messages are opened. It is time for you to know how to construct the body or content of your message for maximum result. Here are the tips to follow:

Do not be formal in your message or greetings. For instance, don’t start your message with a Dear Sir or ‘Dear Jane’ That type of statement has become a kind of cliche and readers are no longer getting inspired by it.
Spice up your greetings by doing something different or simply put, be informal.

You can start your message with greetings like “Hi Suzanne’, “Hi there bill, “halo”, “Hello again Jane” and so on.
Put your prospect in a relaxed mood by telling a story related to your offer. For instance, if you’re promoting a product that teaches how to build your own website, you can do it this way.

Halo Chris,
Let me share with you the experience I had, not too long ago. I was promoting products through google adwords and making a lot of money. I thought I had a perfect internet business mode until I come in contact with stone.
Through stone, I discovered that to build a long lasting affiliate business, I should direct my prospect to my autoreponder and not directly to the merchant’s site.

When you tell this kind of story, it puts your reader in a relaxed and positive mood and he clicks through to your offer.
NB: keep your messages short, simple and straight to the point.

Use a friendly tone:

Here you don’t tell a story; construct your message in a simple way, just as it comes from your mind. Simplicity works better than professionalism here.

Keep your list Fresh:
By keeping your list fresh, it simply means cultivating it to ensure that your prospects always respond to you any time you bring up a new offer. You can achieve this by:

Sending out monthly or bi-monthly free tips to them about your market or you can even make it weekly, in this way you keep in touch.

Don’t send too many messages.
People might unsubscribe from your list, if you send more than two to three messages a week, some might even complain; so the best thing to do is to apply caution and discretion.

Don’t oversell to your prospects.

By this, it simply means don’t send offers to them more than once a week. There is a tendency that some might dread opening your email when you always “sell them”

Try to strike a balance between selling and giving out freebies.
Finally, make it a point of duty to always promote your autoresponder, so that fresh people can sign up and ultimately increase the size of your list. Grow your list continually as it is the life of your business.
