Managing Behaviour
In order for all of the above to be achieved it is important that schools have the tools to successfully implement this into their learning programmes. Schools need to have teachers who are skilled at what they do in order to create behaviour management plans, which are adequate and involve all of the necessary plans to provide the right learning environment for the pupil. Behaviour and classroom management plans are important to implement into lessons, they help to create a strong structure for children and a sense of stability. Teachers are normally primarily responsible for creating individual lesson and behaviour management plans. This is normally because of the background knowledge they have of the pupils and what will suit the class best. However some schools as a whole are responsible for creating plans that all teachers will use as a basis of their lesson plans. Safeguarding is a relatively new term, which describes the measures taken to prevent any harm from occurring to a child. This involves many ideas, rather than cure safeguarding is all about prevention and stopping anything bad happening. Ways in which this is done is by checking people who work closely or have the potential to work closely with children, making sure children are safe in their homes by doing regular checks if there is potential for harm, training people who work with children to spot signs and act accordingly.
