Marketing Purpose To Your Success

I am an engineer. I know all the technical stuffs required to do my job better for the benefits and profits for the company. Sadly it is not my own. I would do my best to learn new technology, put them to test and provide factual results. All this has enabled my employer to make better decision. After eight years of hard work and sacrifices (like time with people you love and precious health), I finally made up my mind to venture into internet marketing. This was out of my passion and I decided to take the bold step to be internet marketer.

Now, what is the purpose of marketing? It may sound crazy but for a person like me, simply cannot comprehend people skill called "marketing". Well I do not deny that I am not good at talking. Let alone persuasive one. If you ask me to sell doughnuts to strangers and public, I would be scared to death. No kidding.

I was simply terrified with the people that I am going to speak too. My mind just went blank, spine was shivering and the skin is sweating. As a marketer, I believe that you should not just run a campaign. You would want to build a better relationship. That is your marketing goal.

When you build better relationship, people tend to stay around longer. They soon become more engaged. Guess what the next thing they do is. They will tell their friends about their relationship experience. So do not just focus on selling more products, recruit more people and run motivational class. All these things will come later when your relationship is growing strong.

Next question is how you can build stronger relationship. First, take the time to know your customers as individuals. Listen to their needs. I really mean listen. Most of us tend to talk more because you feel great talking about yourself. So be careful. Pay attention and talk to them as a friend. I understand this not because of my marketing degree or MBA. I am also a customer. I know what I want and what to expect as a customer. This is no rocket science.

Once you understand what your customers' needs and their problems, you can provide solutions. You can sell, rent or give away your solution. Customers will appreciate you more and started to trust you. Now they understand that you can lead them and guide them. Guess what? They perceive you as a leader. That is great!

After some time, you will have a huge list and you continue providing solution to their problem. At this time, you start offering your service, advice and guidance in your niche.

Now you know the purpose of marketing and how it can help you to grow your business for long-term. Then you can live you own life. Wish you all the best and hope you success.
