Marley And Me Dvd " A Story With Substance

You absolutely don't have to be an admirer of Jennifer Aniston to check out this movie. The previews paint it with a nice family feeling and made me want to see if it really was that likable. So even though Aniston doesn't float my boat I decided to try it.

This isn't another dog movie. There are important issues entwined with the roller coaster of family life. Everyone can understand the difficulty of maintaining your equilibrium with marriage and making good at work, while keeping your family happy. I got more than I imagined I would with Marley and Me.

A good family film filled with a lot of cute moments and just enough reality to make it seem believable. Jennifer Aniston was pretty good in this film, although I found myself becoming more attached to the dog, the story line and Owen Wilson, then to Aniston, but it seemed to work well. It really wasn't the comedy that the previews left you believing, but honestly that was okay, because it was a really enjoyable film.

The most impressive part of the movie was a positive message. It is always nice when a movie leaves you with this feeling. The underlying message is how important each day is. Whether its negative or positive, you eventually get through to joy and that makes it all worthwhile.

Warning, it is a bit of a tear jerker, but not in a depressing way, Marley and Me is real. It is the story of life, families, and adaptation. Change in life is inevitable and Marley and Me just lets you see that you are not the only one struggling with it all. Overall, I would say this movie was definitely much better than I would have expected and it all worked really well together, which made it an enjoyable watch, just don't expect a comedy, because although there are funny moments, this movie has much more substance than that.
