The result of meditation can be like taking a holiday, when you return, you are refreshed and re-acquainted with yourself and you have got a new view on your life and problems. except unlike expensive holidays, meditation costs nothing and needs only a couple of minutes of your time daily. Correct breathing, good posture and deep relaxation support the body to function more efficiently and will help relieve problems such as sleeplessness, high blood pressure and low energy stages. Meditate in a spirit of open-mindedness and you will find that you could have a clearer understanding of how your body works and who you are. you can in all probability start to feel more relaxed, and be able to focus better. Chances are you'll even see your problems in a clearer view. In linking with the actuality at the deeper stages of your mind, you can burn off the haze of illusion. you'll see what it is to be human, and as a result come to be thankful for others more. you can see the connectedness of all life. However, we will be taking a slightly different tactic. We will begin not by clearing the mind, but by filling it with a load of thoughts, images and emotions. In doing so, we connect more entirely with our inner being and acquire a deeper awareness of our true character. We will be meditating not on a higher spiritual realm but, quite simply, on ourselves. Having familiarised ourselves with the crucial values and meditation techniques we are at this point outfitted to research more intensely into the mental and spiritual resources that we will need to draw upon as we set off on our path. At this stage, we should recognize that meditation can become a way of life, sitting down and focusing your mind is just a tiny a part of the experience. Perhaps you notice that transformation arises naturally in all areas of your life when you initiate meditation. And though you do not necessarily need to alter your lifestyle dramatically to gain from meditation, a certain level of commitment is required. The extent of this commitment is completely up to you. At this point we are going to realize, among other things, the concept of “mindfulness”, that is, of giving our full attention and attention to the thoughts and emotions that happen in our minds and bodies. such as, we can become “mindful” of the instinctive drives that control our eating habits, our attitude to exercise, or our neglect of our bodies through smoking and drinking.
