As a woman, we have all heard about menopause whether we are experiencing it now or will be in the future it is important to understand and recognize menopause symptoms. Menopause symptoms you have probably heard about are the massive mood swings, and hot flashes. These are only to of the symptoms that can affect a woman going through the change. Other menopause symptoms include depression, tension, stress, and irregular menstrual cycles.

Yes, it is possible that some of these occur without menopause beginning and that is why it is important for you to understand at what point you should expect these symptoms to occur. Most women see menopause in their mid forties to early fifties. This is by no means a guarantee that you will not have early menopause in your late thirties or early forties. Occasionally menopause may not begin until sixty. Your body will tell you when this change occurs.

Your menstrual cycles will be come irregular. You may skip several months, you may have longer periods than normal, or your periods may come more frequently. This is because the hormones are being told to release or not release due to menopause. The next menopause symptom would be hot flashes. You may be extremely hot in a very cold place or moderately temperate room. Hot flashes are often in conjunction with profuse sweating or night sweats.

Insomnia may be a product of these night flashes or it may be related to stress and depression. Insomnia means you are not sleeping at night at all or very little. Stress can have you over thinking things that happened during the day. It can also be a result of your depression. Depression occurs because of the hormone imbalance your body is going through. It is important to speak with someone or find a remedy that can help you get over the depression you feel. Depression can cause headaches, fatigue, and neck and shoulder pain.

You may also experience tension not only physically, but also mentally. You might find it hard to express your mood swings properly and end up sounding angry or feeling offended when you try to speak with someone close to you. This is why is can be helpful to seek out others who are going through the change or speak with someone who has. It is also important to keep in contact with your doctor if you feel certain menopause symptoms are out of hand. Listen to the advice of others, even your family because they are trying to help you through this change in your life.
