Mental Toughness Will Bring About Positive Changes In Your Life

Many of us go through life feeling that they are not reaching the level they should, or that they are missing out on a great deal. And we are inundated from every aspect of our lives into believing that we need to get better. Books on how to raise your motivation, focus and confidence, on the many secrets to Mental Toughness, how to overcome shyness. These are all telling us that there is a secret, or magic pill, and someone is going to give it to you, because you are not able to figure it out yourself. And we feel inadequate or not good enough.

It may be that achieving Mental Toughness is more about how we look at things instead of what we are lacking. We feel that we are the only one who feels inadequate, or insecure, or afraid of others, and that stops us from moving forward. Mental Toughness is looking and realizing that everyone else feels the same way; if that is the case, I might as well get tough mentally and approach others in a manner that will help them feel less afraid of me. I no longer feel I must prove myself and my worth to others; now I am about showing others they have worth to me.

This change in balance will help create a quality of life that is much richer and more meaningful, as well as allowing us the capacity to approach things in different ways. We are no longer overwhelmed and powerless; being clear as to the objectives and goals we want to achieve in our lives provides us with a much clearer roadmap to follow. That clarity will help us ask better questions of ourselves and others, and look for different answers. This Mental Toughness may create a change in perspective; the physical manifestations we refer to as fear are exactly the same ones as what we refer to as being excited - we are the ones who label it either way. Perhaps I need to change my label; I am no longer afraid of getting up to speak in front of others - I am excited to share my information.

Given this Mental Toughness, I may be able to accomplish more of the truly important things in my life, and enjoy it a great deal more
