Military Survival Vs. Wilderness Survival

For some people who are in the military the concept of getting captured does cross his or her mind. However, survival means the act of endurance with limited or no assistance.

Every person that goes through training learns different techniques for military survival. Especially the Navy Seals with special operations and trained skills. Some of the military survival training techniques are the same throughout the different branches of the military and then there are differences.

Some people insinuate that wilderness survival is the same concept as military survival however this is truly a misconception.

With military survival tactics an individual is taught a variety of different things. Plants, animals, food, shelter, and more are included in the training. It is extensive however it saves those who are trying to survive.

On the other hand those who feel wilderness survival is the same are in a sense a bit wrong. This is because he or she simply learns what they want to learn, take what they want to take and they are not in a situation that could be fatal.

Wilderness survival is more of a free will adventure that you are willing to take; many of the military survivalists don't really want to be in that situation. But unlike you and I they have no choice. In those situations they must follow his or her military survival training in order to avoid bad things happening.

For more information just do a search via the Internet and you will see that the two survival methods are not exactly the same.
