Minerals For Acne
Vitamin B5 for acne is causing quite a stir throughout the Internet, There are many web sites competing for your attention. Some claim that mega doses of vitamin B5 will completely eradicate all traces of your acne while others claim that such B5 doses are totally useless and even dangerous. It is known that eating too much sugar and refined carbohydrates can lead to a surge in insulin. This in turn may create a condition referred to as IGF-1, where an increase in insulin creates the production of excess male hormones. Excessive male hormones can create an excess of sebum, the greasy stuff that can clog pores, attract bacteria, and create monster zits. IGF-1 is also believed to cause keratinocytes to multiply, which can wreak havoc on skin. A suppressed immune system and poor digestion may result in a lack of essential vitamins and minerals, contributing to excess production by the sebaceous glands. Hormonal imbalances may also cause excess production by the sebaceous glands and in effect, increased acne outbreaks. Other side effects of vitamin A overdose include nausea, itchiness, irritability, vomiting, headaches, menstrual problems, and dizziness. Long term vitamin A overdose can lead to liver damage, pain in the muscles and bone, and headaches. Some people can have symptoms at a lower dose than 15,000 to 25,000 IU, so this should be monitored if you're taking these levels of vitamin A. However, vitamins are only a part of the answer in the quest for acne free skin. I personally suffered from acne for over fifteen years. For me, it wasn’t a simple case of waiting out my teenage years in the hope that once I reached my twenties my skin would clear. It simply didn’t happen, and I suffered from acne into my thirties. Possibly, I’d still have acne now, if not for Acne Cured the eBook. This book taught me exactly why people get acne, and as mentioned previously, it’s something that occurs within the body, not on the skin. Never Cover Acne with Make-Up or Cosmetics - The golden rule of acne skin care says to abstain from putting any makeup on the face when it's covered with acne. Clearly, the reason behind this is because it aggravates the pimples and it can cause more harm than good and let's face it, if you've got acne covering it with make-up doesn't hide it anyway. At the most, you could use some under-eye cream at night before you go to bed but other than that it's a serious no-no. Sugar is found in processed carbohydrates such as white bread, crackers, and any white flour products. The best thing you can do is switch to whole grain carbohydrates as these do not effect the insulin levels in the same way the white flour products do. A diet including whole grains, fruits, vegetables and lean meats will not only help your skin look better, but you will also be contributing to the healthy of your body as well.
