Mobile Phone Coverage

Mobile phone coverage has rapidly expanded over the United Kingdom the past two decades. While there used to be many 'dead zones' in the British and Irish countryside, mobile phone companies have increased their coverage to even the remotest of areas. Not surprisingly this benefit comes with a cost, with mobile phone plans rising in recent years. While the price of a mobile phone and plan is still cheaper than owning a landline, prices have steadily increased over the past five years. The good news is that the economic pressure that the internet brings, with cheap communication services, should cause mobile prices to decrease in 2-3 years.

The style and look of mobile phones has come a long way since the mid-1980s when mobile phones were as big as a human head. Mobile phones are minute in size compared to the 20th century and are equipped with an assortment of cutting-edge networking features. For example, even the most basic mobile phones are now equipped with a camera. While the quality of the camera in the phone can vary from mobile to mobile, it will at least give you a chance to snap a quick photo when something catches your eye. Another networking function found in most mobiles is internet access. This was first introduced on mobiles in 1999 but did not become commonplace until 2004. Connection speeds have also increased over the past decade with users now able to download videos with considerable speed. While internet service used to be just email and weather, they are now just as complete as what you would be able to do on a personal computer.

When you buy your next mobile make sure you ask for a phone that is able to give you a satisfactory internet option along with good mobile service. Another mobile advance worth noting is bluetooth. Bluetooth technology gives mobile users a hands-free use option by talking and listening through an earpiece. The sound that comes out of the earphone is clear and the user on the other end can hear your voice perfectly. Bluetooth is perfect for communicating in your car or in the airport when your hands are tied up. Bluetooth headsets and earpieces can be found for fairly cheap prices in electronic stores.
