Money Management And How To Improve Yours

Pay day has come. For many people this is the time when they can stop the usual penny watching they've had to endure for the last week... And how do they respond to this? Go out and celebrate that they've money in their account again with an expensive night out, a shopping trip, or some other expense they don't really need. And then they wonder why they're in they'll be scrimping and saving again at the end of that month.

Now I know no one likes living on a budget to small to live a comfortable life with, and I know not everyone can afford to not watch the pennies a bit. But I'm talking about those that have a fair income to live off but are among the poorest as the month goes on.

For those that are in that situation and want to turn it around, here are some tips.

Firstly, you need to remember how it feels. Remember how it feels to not be able to do anything at the end of the month, and how good it would feel to not get that down period.

Secondly, you need to change your mentality. If you're still reading this I'm guessing you do want to make a change, so you need to always remember why you're doing this and why you shouldn't buy that ‘must have' item as soon as you get paid.

Thirdly, you need to change your spending habits. A main strategy I've seen working best is reversing your spending patterns. Instead of spending more at the beginning of the month, budget and spend on a budget you'd be able to afford steadily throughout the month and you should be ok. And if you do make it, you can treat yourself at the END of the month before your next pay day. That way you know you won't be short of money again. If you don't have enough to treat yourself at the end of the month, try harder to stick to your targets next month or reduce your daily spending a little.

Well good luck, and I hope you all turn out to be smart spenders.
