Dead birds in Louisiana follow Arkansas event
Reports are emerging of massive numbers of deceased birds falling out of Louisiana skies. This occurred right following the Beebe, Arkansas incident. On Brand new Year's Eve, there were thousands of blackbirds that fell from the sky. Pointe Coupee Parish, near Labarre, Louisiana, is where 500 birds were found on a stretch of highway falling out of the sky, says CNN. They were blackbirds, starlings and even sparrows. The plunge didn't kill all the birds. They did all die though. About 300 miles south of Beebe, Ark., or where the dead birds were found first, was where the rain of birds happened. The birds found in Louisiana are being sent to laboratories for testing, to see if there is anything that either event has in common.
Trauma seems to be the cause of the AR deaths
There was tension that brought on the birds to drop from the sky as outlined by an autopsy that was done of the deceased birds in AR. There was tension to the breast tissue that was very physical. This is what the Arkansas Game and Fish Commissioner explained. There was internal bleeding found in the majority of the birds. There was not a disease. It's unlikely at this point.
Pouring birds
A cold weather and storm front is moving through that part of the country, and weather events for instance hail or lightning could effortlessly kill large groups of birds. Fireworks could also be a likely culprit, as loud noises are known to be harmful to birds in flight, however fireworks seem an unlikely explanation in the second event.
