Muscle Building Tips: Why Must You Lift Heavy Weights?

If you’re serious about building large amounts of muscle in the near future, there is one concept that you have to get used to. There are many factors to consider, and you’ll probably have many more questions about how to build muscle as efficiently as possible. But if you don’t have this concept down, you won’t get very far.

What concept am I talking about? Simply put, you must lift heavy weights to build muscle.

To understand why this is so critical, you have to know a little bit about what makes muscles grow in the first place. You see, your body is not crazy about the idea of building muscle. It takes a lot of work to build and maintain those muscle fibers, and your body would rather not go through the trouble. To get around this, you must give your body a reason to grow. When you subject your body to stress that it is not used to, it will do its best to adapt. There are many examples of this, but the bottom line is that the body will respond when you lift heavy weights.

You must always remember that building muscle is your goal, not your body’s goal. You have to force your muscle by gradually lifting heavier and heavier weights. Doing so will recruit more muscle fibers throughout the muscle which is the most efficient way to make your body grow.

Of course, there are many more things you should consider when building muscle. If you’re serious about building large amounts of muscle, consider looking into a comprehensive muscle building program.
