My Pc Slow ? How To Improve Your Pc Performance

The most common lament among most PC users at home is that the PC gets slow. The speed and the performance witnessed when the PC was first purchased will not be there and there will be deterioration in the performance after a period.

This is quite common for personal computers, especially when a number of programs or software’s are used, either simultaneously or at some point of time during the day. Though you use one program, for instance, MS excel, for some time and after that close that program. You also use MS access for some database work and then close it as well.
Then you start using MS word for some time.

Some of you, who tend to use too many programs, often find that their PC performance is getting slower every day. The reason for the sudden decline in PC performance is due to leakage of memory.

In some cases, whenever a program is used and then closed, the files required for opening and running the software does not close automatically even after the program has disappeared from the screen. It so happens that the windows files required for opening and running the software do not close when the program is shut. These files get stored in hidden directories and result in additional files getting registered in the registry.

Though the program, say excel for instance, is closed, the windows registry files and other supporting files such as .dll files will still be active in the PC, occupying unnecessary disk space. This, in turn, will lower the speed of PC and make the PC slow.

Another reason why a system abruptly gets slower is due to scattering of the files stored in the hard disc, leading to unnecessary occupation of space. It is always advisable to run disk defragmentation of PC at frequent intervals, say once in a month or in three months, and organize the used files in adjacent clusters, thus leading to unity and prosperity.

The fastest way to speed up a PC would be to simply download a registry cleaner and run a scan. It will clear up errors and instantly speed up application loading and PC boot up times.
