As a personal trainer and Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant, I thought I knew all there was to know about fitness and nutrition. I have been successful in helping clients lose weight and keep it off. However, some clients still complain of having a bloating and gassy stomach. This is especially irritating to those of us who eat healthy food and exercise. If your stomach always is bloated you may benefit from some simple dietary changes. Unfortunately, several healthy foods can contribute to gas and bloating. Some of the common culprits are onions, beans, cabbage, asparagus, and broccoli. These veggies contain cellulose which contribute to a bloating and gassy stomach. Diets high in fiber can also cause bloating unless you consume a great deal of water.
Unfortunately, eliminating these foods does not always solve the problem. I recently read a very interesting article which gave the promise that by following a simple meal plan, you could eliminate a bloating and gassy stomach for good.
