My Quest To Wealth
I spend alot of my time reading books on leadership and wealth creation and I enjoy each and every one as the authors are all experienced and rich. I have tried to emulate the teachings of the rich and I have had some moderate success and always tried to keep a positive mindset. But of late I have fallen backwards in my quest to become extremely wealthy, I guess it is because work can get you down and with the pressures of family and other commitments, you can become disillutioned quite easily. Because I enjoy reading books I started looking for alternatives as I often found that when looking at the books I had read before I found a lot of it was full of waffle and eventhough some good points are made, I still felt a bit off put. Well I surfed around and found this site touting the 18 Secrets of Succesfull Business People. Initially I thought yeah right, just another book on wealth creation but this time I was shocked to see that the author, Peter Davis, was a lot like me. Peter had gone to all the lectures and read alot of books like me, and he was also upset at the waffle and 'corperate speak' he found when going through all the material. But unlike me, he did something about it. What Peter did is take notes of all the points made in these books as he was reading them. I used to do this but got complacent. Anyway Peter took notes of all the points and after reading a book he would put them on his spreadsheet of ideas. Peter did this over a few years and from hundreds of books and lectures he had heard. So one day he went through all the points and found a lot of the points were repeated, in fact he found 18 repeated points, only 18 of hundreds and hundreds of point and pages of information. The 18 points are common to all the wealthy people of the world. So naturally he compiled the 18 secrets into a ebook and he placed it on his secrets-of-business site. The best part is he only charges $10 to read it. He says on his site that he is already making a dollar so why not pass on the information for cost price only. I purchased a copy and had a look, and guess what, he was right, I remembered from all the books I have read that they do in fact mention the same things in various ways. Bingo, my spirits were recharged and I have a lot better mindset.
