There are so many sites out there that you can market on, but this article will focus on one. MySpace marketing is a huge way to promote your business. There is a big problem with it though that many fail to see.
Many people use push through marketing which means they literally try to shove whatever their offering down the prospects mouths. Here are some tips to get you going on the right track.
Tip #1- Don't be like everyone else
If you haven't noticed, sites like this have a high tendency of spam. It seems like people don't really want to know what you're all about. So I would suggest when doing MySpace marketing, stop trying to sell your product of service. Sell yourself first, if you do this correctly, you will have people asking what you are involved in.
Tip #2- Everyone has a birthday
This is something that I always do. Whenever I get a notification that someone's birthday is coming up, I shoot them a quick message or comment. Does it take some time to do? Yes, because I have many friends, but it is honestly worth the extra 30 minutes to get it done.
Tip #3- MySpace marketing is only one strategy
Don't rely on this to be your only source of lead or traffic generation. This is a killer mistake I made. Continue to study new techniques that will bring your website a constant flow of new visitors.
In social marketing, it's all about building trust between you and your potential business partners.
