New Brunswick

The province is wild and beautiful with a greater percentage of forest cover than any other province in the country. A variety of geography including uplands, rolling hills and lowland plain makes this area a diverse pleasure. Rushing rivers, sparkling streams, several natural harbors, fertile river valleys, fisheries and mineral deposits make New Brunswick a land of natural resources. This is the largest potato producing area in the country and is also the covered bridge capital of Canada with over seventy of the charming structures. The world longest covered bridge at three hundred ninety meters spans the Saint John River at Hartland. Considered both a spectacular event and natural phenomenon, the waters at the foot of the Saint John River reverse direction during tidal changes.

There are many prime locations for whale watching around the provincial coast as well. The culture is rich with a strong Acadian influence. The largest Danish community in North America resides in new Denmark. Unique, natural and charming New Brunswick has much to offer.


Because of the length, depths and funnel shapes of the Bay of Fundy the southern edge of the province has constantly rising and falling tides from the Bay. New Brunswick recently has been linked with its Maritime neighbor, prince Edward Island, by way of an architectural feat – the Confederation Bridge. The longest bridge over ice covered waters in the world begins at Cape Jourimain in New Brunswick.

The magnificent sea carved rocks of Hopewell Cape and a huge number of pretty scenes of local sites draw thousands of visitors to New Brunswick each year.
