Nintendo Dsi Bundles
In the mobile phone market, you will often be offered, for a set price, a free mobile phone, a certain amount of minutes and text messages free per month, as well as other bonuses which can include free gifts like playstation’s and Nintendo wii’s. This package is collectively known as a bundle. In the broadband sector, you will often be offered the wifi box, set up, download speed and download cap (in mega bytes), plus a landline phone with free minutes for taking out a contract with them. This is also an example of a bundle. As you can see with these two bundles, you need to sign a contract in order to qualify. However, there are bundles that do not require signing of a contract. An example of such bundles, are the ones you would get with a gaming console. When people purchase a new gaming console, such as the Nintendo DSi, they are getting it primarily to play games on. So what store’s do, is they add in games in order to make a pack, or bundle, so that the consumer just buys the pack and gets the console and a few games all-in-one. The issue is of course two-fold. Firstly, are you really getting a deal when you buy this bundle. That is, would it be cheaper to just buy the console and then the games separately, as the store has added a premium for the convenience. Secondly, the games that come in the bundle might not be the games you want or like and seldom can these be changed. So although it might be convenient and, possibly, cheaper, you might end up with games you don’t really want. We hope this helped you to understand what bundles are and how they work with gaming consoles, like the Nintendo DSi Bundles you see in the UK.
