Normal Levels In Testing For Infertility

In testing for infertility, the numbers that return from the tests and evaluations can be a bit confusing for the uninitiated. Sometimes dealing with infertility is enough of a stress inducing thing without having to make sense of all the numbers and figures. But read on. Perhaps some basic knowledge and understanding of how the numbers work can give you a bit of relief and comfort and allow you to get a better grip on your results.

Before you see the normal levels listed below, you should be aware that these are not absolute standard normal levels. There are no defined normal level standards because the results from testing are often very variable, depending on the particular processes and equipment of the different labs and clinics that perform the tests. The numbers presented here are averages to give you an idea of what to expect and how to interpret them. In any case, it is always best to interpret the numbers with your doctor. But some basic information will go a long way in helping out your discussions with your doctor about your problem.

Also, try not to get intimidated by the units used. The units are in the metric system so they may be hard to imagine at times but these numbers can be useful without the unit measurement by using them as a comparison point or baseline figure.
