Notre Dame University Facing Department Of Education Inquiry

Notre Dame was not "aggressively" pursuing the sexual assault grievance 19 year old Elizabeth Seeberg had, she said. She then committed suicide on Sept 10, 2010. A second family, who has asked to remain anonymous, has spoken out against Notre Dame. In order to protect Notre Dame University, the family says their daughter's complaint was "buried". An investigation has been started to the process of investigation at Notre Dame. The United States Department of Education could be in charge of this. The second sex attack complaint against Notre Dame Recently there was a second grievance of sexual attack. September 4 was when the attack supposedly occurred. Sept 11 was when she went in and told police she wanted to press charges. The case wouldn't be prosecuted according to Prosecutor Michael Dvorak in an announcement made last week. There just wasn't enough evidence according to Dvorak. In both cases, the accused attacker was not interviewed for almost 2 weeks. What sexual assault looks like at colleges Colleges and Universities have to work with sexual attack. It is a challenge though. In the second sex attack grievance at Notre Dame, the victim had been drinking before the attack. This was admitted. A sexual assault is nevertheless a sexual assault even if drinking was involved. Nevertheless, there's a question of consent there. The attackers were spoken to in both sex assault grievances. They said that it was consensual for both of them. A statement released by Notre Dame indicated: "We regret that some are critical of our handling of sexual misconduct allegations, and we understand the pain these families are experiencing. At the same time, we stand behind the thoroughness, integrity and objectivity of our investigations, as well as the comprehensive services available to students who are subjected to sexual misconduct."
