But in order to grab these prospects and have them sign up for your membership offering, you need to use these sales page strategies in order to make the most amount of money possible. So, this is how it works. If you have a sales page for a membership program that you’re offering, and your visitor takes you up on your offer and signs up for your membership program, that’s the first step in making things come together. It’s actually a huge step since that shows that there is some strength in your sales letter. Of course there is always room for improvement. But the reality is if you got someone to buy you are definitely doing something right! You need to realize that just getting the sale is not the important part. It’s getting more than the sale. Did you make a one-time-offer? If you’re uncertain of what this is, a one-time-offer or OTO as it’s often referred to as in internet marketing... OTO simply means that when you’re buyer has made the decision to buy from you and has their credit card in hand, give them another offer to buy something else. This something else should be related to the purchase they were just about to make or have already made. OTO’s are great because it allows you to make even more money. So, in the case of a membership website, should you have an OTO before taking your buyer to the membership site? Well actually, yes this is exactly what I would do. If they’ve got the person buying, then you’ve got them already. Your buyer’s in heat so you want to be selling them some more stuff immediately. So what you do is you automatically offer them the option to purchase something that works well in conjunction with the existing offer. Perhaps you can offer them an upgrade or a turbo version of what they’ve already decided they’d purchase. In this case, automatically land them on your OTO, and then after the OTO, send them an email that’s going to have all of the information. Once they buy that particular product, the email’s going to send them all of their membership information. That’s the way that I’d personally do it. You’re going to make more money that way. Don’t forget, lead your prospective buyer right to the OTO. If you’ve got one OTO, then after they go to the OTO, then you want them to land on the sales page. If you don’t have an OTO, then just have them land them on the sales page directly. But OTO’s are the best way to improve your business, widen your product offerings and make more profits!
