Since its beginning in the 19th century, offset printing technology has been a very well known form of printing services. This printing technology uses a two step method, which requires getting the impression on a rubber plate from a lithographic press and then on to the printing material by transferring it from the rubber plate.


In 1950s, offset printing became the most prevalent form of commercial printing. This was in part due to industry advancements in paper, inks, and plates. This progressing technology resulted in speedier and greater plate durability. The majority of modern day printing is still done using the offset printing process.
