On Sale In The Us; The Ipad 2 Now Up For Grabs

Pre dawn, one can now order the much anticipated iPad 2 via online pre-orders. Although Apple’s newest addition to the family would be on sale across America at 10:00 pm UK time, the same has nonetheless already been advertised for online on a pre-order basis.
In the view of digital broadcaster Apple, they made sales of more than 300,000 pieces of the iPad on the day it was unveiled close to a year back. Moreover, there seems to be a sense of admiration for its newer counterpart but judgemental views on the same suggest that the device is more evolutionary than revolutionary.
As it stood for the iPad 1, it made a killing with sales exceeding 15 million in the first nine months of which, 7.3 million were attributed to sales via holiday shoppers during the months of October-December quarter. However, analysts now predict that the same cannot be expected from the new product as it was previously subjective to the level of excitement of something totally pioneering which is not the case anymore but sales are expected to be remarkable nevertheless.
The iPad 2 now incorporates a handful of enhancements over its precursor but can be procured within the same pricing structure - $499 to $829. The variations on price are contextual to the storage space and the internet connect-ability over the mobile network options. On the design aesthetics front, the iPad 2 is now considerably faster, slimmer and lighter and now embeds a front and back camera for video calls and photographs.
Since the advent of the iPad, contenders such as Dell and Samsung have been making efforts to entice consumers with their smaller tablets, without fruitful returns. Samsung was also recently heard saying that most of their 2 million Galaxy Tab 7” tablets that were shipped across the globe were yet to be sold.
Thus, to highlight the essentiality of the iPad 2 to Apple, CEO Steve Jobs emerged from his medical leave earlier this month to launch the new version to bloggers and Apple fans.
Once launched in the US today, the iPad 2 would then hit the market in 26 countries on the 25th of March; including Mexico, New Zealand, Spain and the UK.
