One Day De-clutter
Since your main goal is to organize everything, the first thing you have to consider is how to do it in an organize manner, so simply list all the things you need to get done for the day. Familiarize what you have in your room. Determine the portion where clutter is mostly found. It can be near the nightstand. What are the essential things that you want to put closer to your bed and what are not needed that are just cluttering the space up? Do you like to read during night time? Are the books and magazines properly piled up? To fix this problem, try to put bookshelves by the side of your bed. Are there pieces of papers scattered over the top of your night stand? Make a note to buy a small trash bin to be put beside your bed. Try to check your piled laundry for there might be possible clutters out there. Make a note to buy a new hamper for you to place directly on the spot and put most of your dirty clothes. Is there enough room for all your clothes? Instead of being inside the dresser, sometimes, clean laundry end up on the top of it just because there’s no enough space for it within the dresser to hold it all. Plus, remember to check even the things under your bed. Try to find out how organize they are. Plus, determine if you need a couple of shoe bins with wheels on them - they are easy to slide in and out each time you need your shoes. Do you have to purchase bed lifts to create more space for these bins? Once all notes have been made, purchase all the items needed to organize your room and it is then onto the second step. Making an organized place according to your plan should be your next task. You may have found out that there’s a fair amount of clutter near your bedside table in step one. After you have made necessary adjustments as to shelves, etc., go through and remove unnecessary things in your bedroom. Determine how many of those magazines or books you are actually reading at the moment. There might be some books or magazines that you can place on the other shelves within the house or give away. Or there may be some that are already old and is ready to be disposed. In your dresser, are there clothes that you can get rid of rather than transferring to a new dresser? Separate your underwear, clothes, bathing suits, etc. Rather than putting them all together in one drawer. Or you may have found out that majority of the clutter is found underneath your bed. Are there things that can be possibly placed or stored somewhere else in the house? Putting your shoes in the bin under your bed is a good storage solution in creating some space. Seasonal beddings can also be stored in an airtight bag and put it under your bed. When you are considering what to put under your bed, remember that if you can’t visually see every bin or bag under your bed, it means that you’ve probably put too many things under there already. It’s just so easy creating a relaxing space. With proper organization of everything and having a clear picture of what you want, you can possibly make your bed room the space of your dreams.
