“Paramo de Corcos is a special area within the Ribera del Duero because of its particular characteristics. It is a plateau at an altitude of 950 m above sea level, with a harsh climate with temperatures ranging from highs of 40 °C in the summer to lows of -15 °C in winter and very little rainfall. The soil is also very special, with unique characteristics for growing vines. It consists of sandy loam with a deep layer of clay underneath and a pebbly surface on top. The 30 ha of vineyards show a wide range of traits that make them unique. The vines have been grafted onto old, quality vines from the area making for low yielding high quality grapes perfect for making amazing wines.” Paramo de Corcos Reserve has achieved 93 points in Wine Spectator magazine and has had many rave reviews.
