Ontario's province name was taken from Lake Ontario, which is thought to be derived from ontarí, this is a a Huron word that means "great lake" also the word skanadario meaning "beautiful water" in Iroquoian. Marie - Sudbury - North Bay - Timmins - Windsor - London - Kingston Within the north area of the province, towns that are isolated and settlements are relying entirely or partly on air service for traveling, goods, also ambulance services, since much of the far northern area of the province cannot be reached by road or rail.
