Organic Traffic Or Ppc: Marketing My Small Business
There are many ways that you can market your website. The 2 main ones are PPC and Organic Traffic.
In this article I will assume that you already know the following terms: SEO, PPC, Organic Traffic, Internet Marketing. If you don't know the above terms, I reccomend that you read another one of my articles instead. They are much easier to read, and the majority of them are written so that anyone can understand them.
This article will try to compare PPC advertising with SEO.
SEO
1) People are looking for your product: With SEO people who type in your keywords will find your website, if you do SEO properly. People who do a search for your product or service, are probably looking to buy that product or service. So they are more likely to buy your product.
2) Appears Less Biased: This only applys to some people. If you have a computer or other technical product that you are selling, people who view your product/website will know that PPC ads ARE ADS. They will assume that the ads are more biased than the organic results.
3) Longer Lasting: With PPC ads you purchase the clicks, and then the advertisements are done. SEO on the other hand will last several months before you start to see the traffic decrease.
PPC Ads
1) Immediate Results: You will begin to see results immediately with PPC advertising. You will probably begin to see traffic that same day.
2) Testing CPM: You can find out how much money you make per thousand page views (CPM), this allows you to know exactly how much money to spend per click to your website, so that you can still make a profit.
3) Easier to Calculate: When you purchase PPC ads, you know exactly how many clicks your site will get, how much you are paying per click, and how much you make per page view to your site. You will be abel to better adjust your site, by finding out what is going wrong with it, which you can easily do by buying some PPC advertisements.
PPC is the best option for any body who is looking to experiment with their website, who wants to test out their site, or who wants to recieve a constant ROI. SEO is better for those looking for a more long term result, and are willing to risk a little bit more, and don't care as much about ROI as long as they make some profit in the end.
