Out Of Body Experience How To

Did you know that almost 20% of people report having some kind of out of body experience? These are not people that knew how to have an out of body experience, but merely reported that for one reason or another. This number may actually be low, because sometimes people are fearful of these things, and may attempt to convince themselves it was only a daydream or coincidence.

Often times, astral projection can happen as a result of traumatic event, or merely while a person is sleeping. Many people will also dismiss a familiar feeling, or déjà vu, as simply coincidence. People may or may not be aware that their consciousness was traveling elsewhere which gives rise to these events.

Sometimes, an out of body experience, may occur as a result of intense curiosity, or perhaps a surgical procedure, or with no effort whatsoever. Usually however, the vast majority of astral travelers have come about the experience as a result of practice and intent.

If you have a curiosity about astral travel, and intend to attempt it, then you may want a bit of a roadmap to help you get there. Bear in mind that everyone who performs astral travel has unique experiences. Astral projection and travel is as unique to the individual performing at is that individual is themselves.

Here are some steps that you can follow to get you on the road to travel.

1. The Key components to astral projection is two-part: meditation, and relaxation. You should be in an area free of distraction, and somewhat dim, though not black. Make sure to wear comfortable clothing, and remove anything that might distract you or make you uncomfortable. Close your eyes and meditate. Meditation does not have to be anything formal, like a chant, merely relax your mind and your body.

2. Focus on your task. What I mean by this, is focus all of your thoughts entirely on your experience. You must be free of any concerns or fears or pressure of the day. Take your time, and allow the thoughts to hone in on what you're trying to do. It's best to close your eyes, and simply focus. Don't be surprised if you cannot completely focus your mind for the first few attempts. Just practices this and keep practicing until you're able to focus your thoughts on astral travel. This is a very important step, and once you're able to do it, subsequent attempts will be easier. Now imagine your spiritual body floating up and out of your physical body.

It may help to imagine a silvery smooth rope that you can pull yourself up with. Or perhaps you can imagine that you're holding onto balloons and hold on to them as your astral body is floating free of your physical body. Some people find useful to visualize rolling out of their body. Do whatever works for you, and experiment until you find something that you're comfortable with.

3. Transfer - Now imagine yourself leaving your body entering your astral body. The fact is, these are not really two separate entities of all, we are all both physical and spiritual beings, but this is a technique to help you find the astral planes. As you do this, you may find yourself looking down at your physical body. This may startle you, and cause you to abruptly return to the physical.

That is perfectly fine, normal, and happens to most everyone. In it would be unusual if you didn't have a little difficulty projecting the first few times. You will most likely have to make several attempts. Just do so when you're ready.

Astral travel and projection is a skill that were all born with. Over time and with practice, you'll be able to do more quickly and frequently, and be on the journey to learning more about yourself and the world around you.
