Over 40 And Aging Ungracefully? You Need To Read This...

Resveratrol is not the only anti-aging pill in town. One of my favorites is Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA).
It’s a potent "universal" antioxidant which helps produce energy at a cellular level, protects the DNA, and plays a key role in anti aging skin care. It's called the universal antioxidant because it reaches all the portions of the cells -- it's water and fat soluable.
How Does It Work?
ALA works by reducing glycation – which can lead to deep wrinkles. Simply put -- Glycation is a chemical process where the sugar in your bloodstream bonds to the protein in your tissues. Glycation occurs throughout your body, including your skin, in which case it creates undesirable changes to collagen – and this means wrinkles!
Picture what chicken skin looks like before and after it's put into the oven. Before it's soft and pliable -- after coming out of the oven, it's brown, crunchy and brittle. That's a good example of cross-linked molecules which happens from the glycation process.
Although nothing can completely stop glycation in the body -- it's a natural part of aging, taking ALA can help slow the process. Along with eating a low glycemic diet.
Even the famous Dr. Perricone recommends that those interested in anti-aging and younger skin should consider taking ALA -- of course along with a low glycemic diet.
