Overcoming An Ovarian Cyst During Pregnancy

Finding ovarian cysts during pregnancy is something that can be a concern for expecting mothers. The discomfort and nausea it causes is enough of a problem, but it is nothing compared to the fear for the unborn child.

There is an outside possibility of a premature birth or even a miscarriage in a situation where a cyst ruptures or becomes too large

So it is important that a mother does what she can to limit the growth of the cyst and prevent it from getting to a stage where problems exist.

Hormonal Imbalance

A common cause of ovarian cysts is an imbalance in certain female hormones, which are a factor in the growth of the cyst that can occur. There are a number of factors that lead to this imbalance but the two most common causes are: stress and nutrition.

Poor nutrition from eating processed foods or high GI foods will cause a spike in your blood sugar level which in turn spikes you insulin levels. This hormone is produced by your body to lower your blood sugar levels, but as a result it wreaks havoc on the hormonal balance

There is also a hormone known as cortisol which is produced when the body is stressed, and it too has an adverse effect on the body's hormonal balance.

What to do about an Ovarian Cyst During Pregnancy

It is important that you focus on getting your hormones well balanced! Taking care of the 2 elements listed here is crucial. Replace package foods with healthier alternatives by eating more fruit, vegetables and lean, unprocessed meat

You also need to manage your stress. Find the best method of relief possible whether it be meditation, yoga exercise etc. Whatever works for you is good for your baby.
