Overcoming Anxiety With Binaural Beats

Chronic Lyme sufferers are often plagued by a multitude of awful sensations such as quivering anxiety, "internal tremor" or "shaking", and feeling of being out of control. To curb those symptoms, one often turns to anti-anxiety or antidepressant medications, on top of the medications they are already taking to fight Lyme. Often the toxic effects and the interaction of these medications wear down their body even more, so that their immune system is undermined further, and nervous system in a greater chaos.

But there are better and natural ways to alleviate these Lyme caused symptoms! One of which is using binaural beats sound therapy, to balance the body and mind which have been tormented much by the illness.

What are Binaural Beats?
When two tones of different frequencies are played into each ear, the brain attempts to find a balance. For example, if the frequency of sound in your left ear is 380Hz, and the frequency you're hearing in your right ear is 390Hz, your brain will process a binaural beat of about 10Hz. These beats are not actually heard, since they are well below the natural range of hearing, but your brain will detect this low-frequency "hum" as the binaural beat.

It's been discovered that these binaural beats can be used to elicit responses in the brain, and the brain is said to be "entrained". This means that it starts to resonate at the same frequency as the binaural beat, and the brain wave patterns are temporarily altered. The positive effects include the following:

* Reduce anxiety and stress levels and calm your thoughts
* Improve quality of sleep
* Promote healing
* Increase such things as intelligence, intuition and reativity
* Have a more effective meditation, and much more!

Brain Wave States
Scientists have discovered that our brains operate in five levels of frequency: gamma, beta, alpha, theta and delta. Each level of frequency is measured in cycles per second, or hertz (Hz). Following are the levels of frequency:

Gamma (40 Hz or above) - Associated with a state of pure compassion. Researchers have also discovered that the Gamma brainwave range is associated with a heightened sense of perception, mood and information processing.

Beta (13 to 40 Hz) - Associated with our active and waking state. Beta helps in logical thinking, analysis, and active attention. Stress can throw the frequency to the higher end of beta waves.

Alpha (8 to 13 Hz) - Occurs during daydreaming, and creative visualization. This is often associated with a deeply relaxed
state, and with a light trance or meditation.

Theta (4 to 8 Hz) - Associated with intuition, and allows us to access our subconscious. It is activated during dreaming and deep meditation states.

Delta (0.5 to 4 Hz) - Produced during dreamless deep sleep.

Because of the intense stress that Lyme disease inflicts on one's body, their brain waves

often reach high beta, which is associated with anxiety and extreme heightened sensitivities. But when listening to binaural sound files, they should experience a sense of calm and ease. The internal turmoil that the body has is alleviated, and mind is quieted.

With consistent use of binaural sounds, its accumulating effects may improve one's quality of life and break the vicious cycle of long-term medication use and dependence.

If you are suffering from Lyme or any kind of chronic illness, I invite you to discover the wonderful healing ability of binaural sound therapy. You'll be amazed by what it can heal and do.
