P Diddy Receives Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star

Grammy-winning rapper and producer Sean Combs, aka P. Diddy, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles on Friday, May 2.

"Today is one of the best days of my life," Combs told fans as he received the Walk of Fame’s 2,362nd star on Hollywood Boulevard. "Today is proof is you believe, all your dreams can come true."

The star was dedicated to his father, who was shot dead in 1972 when Combs, 38, was three years old. Combs also dedicated the star to his mother and grandmother.

P. Diddy is reportedly searching for a new house in Los Angeles; he plans to split his time between LA and New York as he pursues an acting career. Combs has appeared in the films Made (2001), Monster’s Ball (2001), and in A Raisin in the Sun on Broadway in 2004 and in its 2008 television adaptation. Combs’ favorite movie of all time is Scarface (1983); he has seen the movie over 60 times.

Aside from acting, P. Diddy keeps busy running Bad Boy Records, clothing lines Sean John and Sean by Sean Combs, a movie production company and two restaurants in New York and Atlanta. Combs is the third richest hip-hop mogul with an estimated net worth of $385 million.

A series of parties were thrown in LA over the weekend to honor P. Diddy, who told the press, "It’s like my coming-out party here in Hollywood."
