Packing For Your European Cruise
This is a not a comfortable feeling to get, as we all know, so this article is a snapshot guide to some of the things you might try and do before departing on your European cruise to make sure this doesn't occur to you. A very good idea is to make a check list of all the items that you think that you would need, make sure you start this early on in the planning stages, try and keep the list handy at all times, that way if something pops into your head that you really must take with you, you can write it down straight away. A quick idea is to keep the list neat, that way you won't get confused, also make sure you have a nice neat column where you can tick things off as you start to pack your cases and hand luggage. Another really good suggestion is to have a check list for every person going on the European cruise, every person may have things that are different which might make a single list you are putting together much more complicated and that might mean you will leave something out that is extremely important. Some of the essentials that you need to have at the top of your list are as follows: Cruise tickets, you passport, any medical information that you might need. As well as you passport, try and take some other kind of personal id, perhaps a driving license, this can be more convenient that carrying your passport everywhere, also make sure you have contact numbers for your home address as well as a relative or friend back home that can be contacted in an emergency. Another good idea is ensure that you have the numbers of your local doctors surgery in your luggage, this way if anything does happen, then any local doctors, on board ship or otherwise, can get access to your medical records. Just in case someone from home need to get in contact with you ensure that you leave the contact numbers of the cruise line operator with someone you trust so they can contact you should the need come up. If you have medications or special dietary needs that are important, ensure that you pack enough of these to last the entire cruise duration, with regards to medical supplies like tablets or inhalers take extra or a spare ( especially with inhalers for asthma ) since it would be hard to get replacements. Try and find out what the likely weather conditions are going to be, this will help you when choosing the clothes that you will wear. Packing for a Northern European Cruise is very different from a Southern Mediterranean cruise, so choose wisely. If you are travelling for one, two or maybe even three weeks ( if you are really lucky) you may need to take more or less clothing. Work out which outfits you require and try and figure out in advance what you want to wear with what, if you choose carefully you can reduce the total amount of clothes you will pack. There are limits to what you can take; you should check your itinerary notes from the tour operator to see what the limits are. So in general pack early and pack carefully this way you will have a European cruise to remember without any worries, which is always desirable.
